Default 48v to 36v conversion

Yes 48v to 36v conversion. I have a 1998 club car ds 36v that I did a solid state conversion on. It is still currently 36v.

I have a chance to buy a 1995 club car ds 48v with no batteries and no charger cheap. How easily would it be to swap my 36v batteries to a 48v cart?

I would like to buy the 95, swap in parts to make it 36v and sell it with my charger to fund new 48v batteries for my 98.

Any thoughts?

This cannot be reasonably done. The motor, controller, solenoid, on board computer, charger, all will not run well on 36v.

Yeah, I was just comparing wiring diagrams and realized that. Thanks.

Would the 48v motor from the 95 work with my C54 kit? (my kit was was ordered for 36v series)
The reason I ask is I saved all the 36v parts I removed. Maybe I could swap motors, gut the 48, and swap it to a 36v series.

I just worked on a regen 2 with a tow run switch and toggle F/R that someone converted to 36v. I insisted they converted it back to 48v but they wanted to keep it 36v. Long story short they just put in 6v batts and an old crowsfoot charger receptacle. The cart ran identical to a 48v cart.

Oh also they bypassed the OBC and had a 36v charger with a microprocessor.
