Default Front suspension

Help, just put new tires and rims on my 2000 DS. They are just regular 18x8.50-8 tires and now have a bad rubbing noise' I replaced the front spring bushings and no help. While I'm in the cart alone the noise is gone. When two people are in the cart it makes a sound like the tire is rubbing on something when you turn left. At a loss. There is no noticeable evidence of the tire rubbing. Sounds like the right front tire is rubbing on some part of the body.

What offset did you go with?

It's just a standard golf cart wheel. Same as come on a new cart without ordering special wheels.

Do you still have the old rims/tires? If so, swap them out and see if the noise is still there.

If so, could be in the hub/bearing.

If not, then there is an interference problem with the new setup. Your existing rims/tires could be barely missing whatever the new setup is hitting.

I would have someone sit in the cart and slowly roll it while turning while visually inspecting the tire surface for interference.

old wheels are gone. They were actually lawn mower tires and rims. Am going to try looking while it is in motion. Would the tire and wheel wobble if the problem is with the hub and bearing assembly? It doesn't wobble so I never thought to check the hub.

Revolution, the site sponsor, is the best resource for club car parts. He’s got it all.

Might seem like a silly question but do you have the wheels on with the valve stems to the outside. I had one of my golf staff people install two front tires and he put them on with the valve stems inside and the right one rubbed on the suspension. Just a thought.

Yes the stems are out. As a matter of fact I'm considering turning them backwards to change the offset.
