They removed the fuse, too. There should have been a blue wire after the run/tow and then into a fuse and coming out would have been the red wire.

Now you need to take your DVM and check the battery voltage at the red cable side big post on the solenoid. Then check the other side big post and it should be 1 to 1.5 volts less and then when you press the pedal and the solenoid closes, it should come up to full pack voltage.

Why would they do that I wonder? Could any of this be the cause of the possible controller issue?

Only they can answer that one, but that is your override for regen braking if you have to tow it. It also gives you controller protection if/when you work in or on the batteries.

I think I’m going to pass on this cart. Cut tow switch missing fuses amongst who knows what else. I know they did tow it home after it stopped on them.

The selling price may not be worth the headache.

Still might be good value if they let it go cheap. Have they said how much? After all, you were looking for a fixer upper.

if it comes down to needing the controller, the sponsors have just what you're looking for.

PLUS - This merry band of cart nuts knows everything there is to know about carts. They helped me with a cart just like yours that was in a serious state of disrepair. I got mine cheap and with their guidance got it up and running like a champ!

Gazoo is correct, it is all according to the price and what you are willing to do....

So I guess the question is... What is a 2007 Club car Precedent worth in the condition mentioned? Or should i say what would you pay for it? It has a rear seat and dashboard. Batteries (powertron) are 6months old. Stock tire and wheels which i plan to replace. It has a light kit with turns signals and horn.

What would you guys pay for it?

Going with the current information and using my home market here in Western PA I would look for something in the area of $700 to a max of $1,000. Too much unknown, but I could see spending as much as another $1,000 just to get it running right and that would put you in an average range for an 11 year old cart here. There is an outside chance that seeing how much butchering has been done the six month old batteries could be damaged too. That adds to the risk of spending considerably more to get it running right.

Yeah, the batteries are worth $400 if only 6 months old and parting it out you could get quite a bit. I would offer $500, but try to imit my exposure to $750 since there is sooooo much unknown.
