Re: PowerDrive 1 Breaker tripping
Oh ok. My next idea would be a shorted transformer coil causing the charger to draw too much current. There's a way to test the coil but I'm not sure of the specifics.
I certainly would not run batteries any lower, if anything I would charge them individually for a few hours each with a regular 10 amp 12v charger. Bring the charge level on the batteries up and then try re-connecting your charger and see how long it runs. I have two 2013 Precedents with new Trojan T875s that get charged sometimes with Powerdrive 1 chargers and have never had an issue charging them. That charger should be fine for your cart. |

Re: PowerDrive 1 Breaker tripping
The PD1 is fully compatible. Plug the PD3 back in and let it charge your pack. Your batteries are dead for all intensive purposes, but that is not the problem, I an just wanting to protect your pack.
It it is tripping the breaker, your diode/heatsink may be failing. |

Re: PowerDrive 1 Breaker tripping
Dead as in low voltage and danger level to the plates if you operate them that low... Outside of emergencies or necessities, never run your batteries below 50%.

Re: PowerDrive 1 Breaker tripping
Your battery charger charges higher than 50 volts. Maybe that is a problem. I would not drive your cart anymore until you charge it. There is damage being done to your batteries now and as long as the batteries stay as low as they are now. It's not good for the batteries. Charge as soon as possible

On one side of the Amp breaker it says: 125/250VAC CTB 250VAC On an other side it says: CTB-B-B-15 125VAC 50VDC Does that mean I still have the wrong breaker? |
