Thumbs up Alltrax 500a in AMD 7144 for Christmas’s

Well after a lot of time and spending unnecessary money on things i broke or burnt up while installing the alltrax controller which looking back now seams like its Not that hard of a job now. I am very happy with the gained torque the pick up is like 3x better but i am already looking at motors and I shouldn’t be but if that controller did that much to a 3hp motor i can’t imagine what this thing would be like with a AMD 7144 motor in it. That is the motor i have bean looking at anyway. I would bet i could give the gasser carts a run or maybe even beat them. I would think the motor would be a easy installation. Anyway thanks for the help along the way i sure needed it. Jerry

Man for that kinda money talk to Scotty B at cartsunlimited.net he will hook you up! Let him know what your after I think your best choice is the MOT A4 combined with your controller you'll be rolling 28mph on 18in tires (6000rpms) and 14hp. If that doesn't get you a wheelie nothing will lol

I got a alltrax 400 and AMD 7144.

I've been satisfied so far. Have not done much testing but hills have not been an issue.

I've read it should be limited to 5000 rpms. I'd like more speed like most everyone but it will hit 25 on my setup.

Bought motor before controller so I can't comment on improvement there.

Does your cart of Regen? I've turned mine up semi high so brakes don't get used much.

Yes i have regan and i checked the top speed today with the stock motor windshield up. 300 pound buddy riding shotgun. On the flat road 22mph windshield out 24. But i can tell you it didn’t happen in a couple seconds. The immediate power is what I like electric is right now.
