Default 2011 EZGO brakes locking

2011 ezgo that has just been lifted. When i first take off on it and touch the brakes, they lock up. will do this a time or two and then work normal. i know when you lift them, you mess with the cables but shouldnt it happen every time?

My Cart does that too if I apply brake just a little more then gently, there is very little play in the brake pedal, how do you adjust the tension on the brake cable, I think mine may be too tight.

Good question, but I don’t know. My cart isn’t lifted, so I haven’t dealt with it personally. I just know that I’ve read about this problem with lifted carts multiple times and the solution always seems to be a passenger side cable since they’re a little longer. I do know that if cgtech wrote it, it’s pretty much gospel.
