What's that bag made out of? If it's a wire mesh I wouldn't do it. You don't want any type of conductor touching the motor studs. Otherwise, I think it's a great idea considering you have a vented motor. Especially in dusty conditions.

It is not conducive it’s just a prefilter I can’t believe the amount of people that never heard of these. This was a big thing when I was a kid. You could take the lid off your airbox and the prefilter would keep everything dry and clean. I agree that it would be great in dusty situations also wet conditions but I think it might not work so well for water they are made for the occasional splash if it’s raining hard it might get water loged not sure. I decided not to try it for that reason. If it gets waterlogged it could possibly be conductive then.
