Default So what have you got to loose

There have been several threads lately where carts with the dynamic braking solenoid have failed. The easy fix is to bypass the solenoid and unhook the speed sensor. Problem is you loose the motor braking, but also you loose the roll away braking. If your park brake unlatches on a hill you will have a hard time catching the cart. It just free wheels. This can be restored. You take the magnet off the end of the motor and carefully grind and file it down to remove the poles.

This photo shows one I did on a 99 DS regen 2. I had to put it on and check it several times but finally got it to work great. The speed sensor is hooked up with this set up, you do not have higher speed braking but it works great for the very slow roll away braking. If you break the magnet or otherwise mess it up just leave the speed sensor unhooked and you are back to where you are now.

Good luck it can be done very easy.:PS it is laying on a file.

Plum Quick does that on their Bandit Motors. Probably others.

That's where I got the ideal, they don't do it on regen 2 motors.
