I have a 36 volt ezgo golf cart manufactured in 2002. I cannot get batteries to charge. Battery 1 reads 6.03, battery 2 reads 6.03, batter 3 6.01, battery 4 6.02, battery 5 5.98, battery 6(new) 6.10 after over 6 hrs connected to a deltran battery tender. Always get a click from the deltran when first plugged in. I have found no in-line fuses. Tender never reads charged I have to unplug it. It only has the charge light on for a very few seconds until the charged light blinks for a few seconds then stops for a few seconds and charging stays on the entire time. Itcontinues to do this until unplugged. I'm not sure if it is my batteries or the charger. I could use my 6 volt charger to charge each battery while in the cart to see the voltage will read higher. Could that give me an answer?

I don't think a battery tender is meant to charge batteries. Get you a real battery charger.

Batery tender will only “maintain” fully charged batteries.
You need a spec golf cart battery charger to recharge batteries.😊

All contacts have been cleaned with new cables and tender displays remain the same. Is it safe to charge each battery separately with a 6 volt charger while in the golf cart but disconnected. The batteries do not have any caps, all closed toips.

The Science of Deep Cycle Lead Acid Batteries. Consider taking a few dollars and purchase a Summitt II charger, you will not be disappointed. NO CAPS on your batteries...should that be a red flag, what are they AGM?
Share a little more info,

Sounds like the OP has some bad batteries. When I first got my cart I tried to salvage the 4+ year old batteries I put battery medic in each battery and hooked up a 12v 2amp trickle charger to each pair of batteries and ended up with the same result. Have you done a load test on your batteries. You said you have one new, how old are the rest. You may be spinning your wheels on some bad batteries.
