Do the Dual Action rear leaf springs ride noticeably rougher than stock?

I just installed the Ameri-torque disc brakes (which I like, and especially recommend for anyone running hand controls as they require dramatically less effort to activate the brakes, and for everyone else, you don’t have to push near as hard on the pedal). Even though I already had 10” rims, I still wound up needing 1.5” wheel spacers for everything to fit. Then I noticed the rear fenders rubbing under load, especially around corners. I’m about to order the dual action leaf springs, as I’d rather not lift the cart. Just wondering if anyone has noticed them riding “considerably” rougher than the single stock leaf spring?

My cart has a little more firm of a ride but I certainly wouldn't classify it as "considerably rougher".

"Considerably" rougher, I'd say no. The idea with those Dual Action springs is the same as the old fashioned helper springs for a car or truck. That heavier leaf doesn't even make contact with the lighter leaf until you put enough weight on it to compress that lighter spring. Lightly loaded it rides very much like stock. Load it up and you get the added capacity of that heavier leaf.

Thanks guys, I just ordered them. I noticed the other night, actually right after my last post that with my wheelchair hanging on the back of the cart and me sitting in it I had less than a finger of clearance.

I told my tech who installed the new springs that I was concerned about it riding rougher and he suggested just completely disconnecting the rear shocks. I tried it and now the cart rides smoother and softer than it did with the original springs and shocks. Now it just bounces over bumps and I have minimal body roll, both when cornering and even when the wheelchair lift picks up my wheelchair from next to the cart and swings it around to the back.

I would highly recommend that anyone who upgrades to the heavy duty leaf springs try running it with the rear shocks at least disconnected. Then, worst case if you have your cart setup with a lot of weight on the back and you need more resistance than just the springs, it’s easy to reconnect the shocks. I just completely removed mine.
