Alltrax install Foward and Reverse Backwards

Installed a SR48400on an 2008 Ezgo txt. Converted from 36 to 48 volts. The FnR switch works backwards, 100% speed reverse in the forward position with switch in reverse position forward speed at 50%. Searched the forums and found old solution of switching the blue and orange wires. The only ones I see are on the micro switches. Switching still gives forward in reverse but no reverse in forward. I have read the Alltrax diagram, all seems in order.

What else did you add to the cart besides the controller? New cables? New f/r?

The orange wire gets powered when that micro is activated by the cart being shifted to reverse. The voltage is supplied to the controller via that orange wire.

The backwards in f , and vice versa, can be cured by swapping the cables at 3 and 9 on the f/r.

New motor and battery cables 4 ga. Did not change the F/R. The A2 originally was connected to the F/R switch and A1 to the M- but the controller instructions have them reversed. I installed according to the instructions.

The Alltrax instructions also show the S1 and S2 connections on the FNR reversed from your original diagram.

If you are following the Alltrax instructions you need to wire it exactly as they show.

Orangeman, I will make the change on S1 and S2 or 3 and 9 on the F@R switch. I most likely connected them backwards by reading the diagram the wrong way. The Alltrax diagram has them labeled as B and D. Thanks!

I’ve got a contactor, so I wasn’t looking at the diagram, but swapping 3 and 9 is the fix I always see suggested here by the experts. Sergio is one of the best on this board, so stick with him and I guarantee you’ll get it sorted out.

That worked , looking at the alltrax wiring I read the F&R switch backwards
