Re: Battery terminal
It happens, and is caused by the nut being loose, or overtightened which in turn loosens the bolt in the soft lead. The good news is that you can repair it rather easily, see here: https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/batt...nal-repair.php

Re: Battery terminal
It's not as clean looking, but a marine battery terminal might work.

Re: Battery terminal
Not quite enough "stub" sticking up on a Trojan battery to use a clamp on terminal.
Best thing is to drill and tap for a new stud on the other part of the terminal. Use a drill stop and don't go deeper than 1/2". |

Re: Battery terminal
Get a torque wrench and from now on only torque the battery nuts to 100in/lbs. If you purchased the battery from a dealer and not a big box store they may be able to repair it for you.

Re: Battery terminal
Thanks everyone, I was able to repair it. I bought a stainless bolt and cut the head off, drilled and tapped the area next to the old post. Cut some notches in the bottom of the stud to aid in retention and installed it. I’ll be checking it often🧐🧐
