Re: Club Car Jerking or Sudden/Jump movemeny
Need a little more information. 36V or 48V. Series (big leaver for F/R) or sepex (rocker switch for F/R)?

Have you got a VGlide? A pie shaped box under the seat towards the drivers side of the batteries.

Hi fsu1tm, I am not sure if there is a vglide and I will check this weekend. If there is any, what should I do with the vglide? and if there is nothing? Thanks

Re: Club Car Jerking or Sudden/Jump movemeny
Well based on what I'm hearing, it's either your accelerator (vglide) or the coil resistors are broken. I guess it could be the motor too but less likely. I thought about the F/R switch but you say it happens in forward or reverse. I think I'd first do a visual inspection of all wires going from the vglide to the resistor coils and also look at those coils. The coils should not be touching each other. If all of the wires are good/corrosion free and the coils look good, I'd then take the side off of the vglide and check inside. There's a micro switch in there that could have a bad connection or could be bad itself. Of course before working on things you should place the rear end up on jack stands and disconnect the negative pack connection.
While you are doing these checks, spray some PBlaster on the motor connections so that if the motor needs to be tested you can get the nuts off easier. |

Re: Club Car Jerking or Sudden/Jump movemeny
I've checked my golf cart and noticed that has no Vglide. I can only see that has a small pack like battery with a size of approx 4" length and 2" width (white and red). Wirings goes to the resistor. Is this similar to vglide?

Post some pictures. I thought the 36V 1997 only had a vglide. I could be wrong though.
