Default 1997 CC DS Troubleshooting

New to forum due to this issue. Looking for help!

Purchased a non running 97 48 Volt Club car DS with the Curtis 1204-410 Controller.
I chased down power from solenoid to solenoid from key switch pedals micro switches etc. Still not getting solenoid to engage even with 48 volts across small coil. Changed solenoid still nothing so I purchased a new controller...
(Model 1205M-5605) along with heavy duty solenoid with resistors and diode.
Installed both yesterday and still not getting solenoid to engage. Buzzer comes on when placed in Reverse. 48 volts across small coil when pedal pressed. Motor turns with 24 volts.
Serial number: A9743-617963
Motor: 101785701
Questions:

Would the OBC be an issue or is this mostly related to charging?
Does this controller work with my cart?

I have checked all connections to wiring diagram and everything matches.

If that controller came from B.U., most likely is not programmed properly.

Did They tell you how the throttle is programmed in the Controller (which type)?

Ordered 325 Amp controller from B U The model in the picture showed up?

Supposed to be 5k-0

Figured this one was better should I return for the 1204?

Probably something simple. Because the solenoid doesnt power up, we know its a control issue of some sort. Key switch, micro switch, F/R switch etc.

That car is easy to bypass stuff to get it to run. Bad thing is now you have changed more stuff, so we have to hope everything is hooked up the way its suppose to be.

1997 may have the throttle under the floor board if Im not mistaken and there is a micro in there. Correct me if I am wrong on that and it has a V glide.

Yes it has the copper slide box. I have all the original parts and same issue. Figured it was some kind of wire/switch issue at this point. Going to take it home put it on blocks and really start looking through it this weekend.

Not sure on micro under pedal will look at that now

Update!!

Placed jumper from battery negative to the small coil (yellow) negative on solenoid and it works!!

Does this mean that the obc is bad??

Does it "unclick" with the pedal? Look at the the diagram and see if it gets the negative from the OBC or the controller.

Edit: I think it goes to the OBC. If the cart is running properly as is, I would run that yellow wire to B- on the controller, then dispense of the OBC and get a smart charger.
