E=Z Go stops on inclines
Another golf club member with a cart problem. The cart is about a 2000 that has been well maintained. When it first stopped climbing small hills the member took it to the local E-Z Go shyster who claims to have replaced the speed controller. He did replace two batteries. The batteries checkout individually and the cart moves along well on level ground. The cart still won't climb a modest hill. Duh?

Re: E=Z Go stops on inclines
It all starts with individual battery voltages, both static and under a load.

Re: E=Z Go stops on inclines
All six batteries check out individually and as a unit when not loaded.

Re: E=Z Go stops on inclines
They can meter good in a static state and drop very fast under load. BAM! No torque!

Re: E=Z Go stops on inclines
We don't know until you test them. But it's where we always start. Nobody can troubleshoot a cart without a known good battery pack. Voltage and amperage are everything. They're the gas and spark of an electric cart.

Re: E=Z Go stops on inclines
Maybe he had a similar problem and found this thread in a search
An inexpensive in-the-dash digital LED battery meter can act as a battery load test monitor as well as a charge needed indicator. |
