Tell me what it's doing and I'll tell you what to do.

Re: lestronic charger troubleshooting
I plug the charger in and I do not have any noise or humming coming from it and the needle does not move.

Re: lestronic charger troubleshooting
I just fixed my Lestronics II charger for my Par Car. In my case it happened to be a relay. In my case the troubleshooting guide I had was a bit off so I called their support line. They were very helpful.
http://www.lesterelectrical.com/contact/index.htm They also have some guides online with schematics that were helpful. Last edited by ajbrown; 04-22-2010 at 07:45 AM.. Reason: clarification |

Re: lestronic charger troubleshooting
What is the pack voltage? Have you checked the fuse in the yellow holder behind the carts charger receptacle ? Check the house wall plug with another appliance or tool?

If the cart runs... check for voltage at the charger receptacle. It should be somewhere around 32-38Volts... Anywhere in that neighborhood is great... If you have voltage, I'd replace the relay or relay/timer, whatever may apply with your charger. |

Re: lestronic charger troubleshooting
I had to bring the battery voltage up with a 12 volt car charger on each set of batteries 3 times once the voltage was up the charger started working.
Thanks to all who had replied. I new the 48 volt chargers did ths but I didn't know it was the same for the 36 volt automatic chargers. I told my friend not to run the batteries down below 50 percent. We don't want to go through this again. |

Re: lestronic charger troubleshooting
Any ideas? I bypassed the timer, I bypassed the capacitor, checked continuity, still get nothing.
