Re: 03 ds will not move
Definitely I WILL win. I will make sure I post it.
I find the post about a new wiring harness curing a similar problem interesting as the wiring diagram I have shows some sonic welded connections. I have had some experiences with multiple grounds and/or just multiple connections losing contact between them especially when you put a load on the circuit. I will let you know what I find out. |

Re: 03 ds will not move
It would save a lot of time and money by putting it on the programmer for troubleshooting.

Re: 03 ds will not move
I have experience with IQ carts and have had the same problem several times. There is a little black box attached to the rod for the accellerator linkage called an MCOR (motor controller) that has a microswitch in it (to activate the solenoid) and a rheostat type device (sealed unit, not serviceable!). Sometimes the rheostat type device gets a dead spot in it and other times the microswitch will go bad and won't allow the main solenoid to click. Hope this helps! You didn't say where you are located.

Re: 03 ds will not move
I bypassed the two wire switch. (solenoid switch) in the speed switch assy. IT RUNS. I have been driving it around to see if this is the total fix (New switch) but it has now run more than it has in the last month. The real bummer is this sealed switch assy is only about a year old. if their quality is that bad I may follow an alternate direction. Many thanks to all who added ideas. Merry Christmas. I know mine will be easier to get around.
