What do EZ-Go Keys look like?
OK, I got the 2004 TXT beast home on a trailer yesterday. There were a couple of keys in the cup holder that look like this:
The keys I found were stamped "1347", no logo or anything else. From what I can tell on the internet, that may be the coorect EZ Go format but I am not sure. Are these EZ Go keys? I assumed were the keys to the cart, but they don't seem to fit all the way and won't turn the lock cylinder. Either that or the lock cylinder is messed up. How do I get the lock cylinder panel open? Here's a picture... |

Is it possible that someone might have changed out the keyswitch from an older model, or are they not interchangeable? |

Re: What do EZ-Go Keys look like?
from the front it looks like the same switch......you need to look at the backside and see if its just the simple 2 wire switch, the body will be round and have just 2 wires connected if its that switch you can just take those 2 wires and twist them togather press pedal and cart should start, you know what i,m sorry this is elec cart so i don,t know if that will work it does on gas.....lets see if anyone knows......................

Re: What do EZ-Go Keys look like?
A ezgo key will have ezgo stamped on both sides of the key, unless somebody changed the switch, the keys you have do not go to your cart.

Re: What do EZ-Go Keys look like?
all ez-go keys are alike for at least the same years. you really don't need a key except as a theft deterent. as said just connect the two wires if that is what you have. you can get an uniquikely keyed switch from your ez dealer or mmt in the sponsor list. not very expensive. they keyed them all alike so when you had 50 plus carts at a golf club you only needed one key .
