I’m pretty sure this model TXT has splined brake drums. They tend to wear and cause a grinding noise.

you may want to check the axle bearings, since you pulled the drums.

I have replaced axle bearings and seals, brake shoes and drums/hubs and get a similar noise...like something is crunching in the brake assembly. Only does it occasionally and I cannot recreate it on demand...

Anyone have sizes for the bearings on the input shaft? I'd like to get some before I pull it out, and replace even if they don't show visible signs of wear.
