Default Fender Flares on a Medalist?

I've been searching but can not find a pic of any Medalist with fender flares - the black trim work as well as front cowl make me think it's going to be a real bear to get flares on this cart. Has anyone done it?

I just ordered some regardless to play with it, will of course update all - but wanted to know if anyone here has accomplished it yet.

OK - I guess not.

Well the new flares just came in so I'm going to thread this in case it helps someone later.

The issue is that the 95 Medalist has side trim on rear and mud guards built in also. The front has a plastic bumper, so neither the front or rear flares really line up right. Since there is no option just for a Medalist (understandably so) - it looks like I'm going to have to get creative.

Any ideas would be appreciated - especially from OffTwice if you're out there, that cat's got some crazy creativity

Here's what we've got - I'll be purchasing a new Dremel in the morning

I think you'd be better off with rear flares from a CJ and fronts from an early XJ. When I was thinking about flaring my cart, those looked to be the closest to matching the shape. Of course, they'd need to be cut down, but once fitted, you could make a 'glas mould and make a few sets to sell.

My cart would look ridiculous with flared arches and a stock track and stance, haha!

Hey, Dela... I never noticed your cart having recessed tail lamps. Are those the same tail lamps that fit later TXTs? The curvature of the Medalist endcap doesn't look very similar to a TXT fender. Do they fit pretty well?

One other idea for the front..... using a heat gun, you can soften the plastic & pretty easily bend the flares to fit. Might work in the rear too but seems like you have a bit too much length.

I like Bill's suggestion of using a heat gun on the front flares. For the rear - a Dremmel would make quick work of trimming up those flares to fit

- I would keep any modifications you do - to the fend flares themselves only - it could make changing your mind later - much less work

yes - agreed flares only. That was my thought last night, I'm not even drilling into the body until I am 110% on it. May use double stick tape for mock up until I finger her out.
