Check the ground from the electrical-panel to the engine and the battery with an ohm-meter.If that wire is internally damaged as ours was,it will do what you are stating,If the ground is good,the CDI-box may be going south.To test that,set the cart on jack-stands,have someone work the gas-pedal.When the cart starts,knock your knuckles on the CDI,if it sputters or quits,there is your problem.Hope this helps.

One question, though.....

When the cart runs, it runs and runs well. That is 99.9 % of the time...... It is only a problem from a dead start only ocassionally.....

Now for the question....

What do you mean by "electrical panel" ??? There is no "electrical panel" that I'm aware of......

Under the seat,on the driver-side wheel-well is a black cover,the electricals are under that cover.Its' just rear of the battery.

Where is the "CDI" located ? I don't see any electrical part that is called that in the schematics for my 2000..... The electronic module I believe is called the "T.C.I Unit" .... that is not easily accessible for me to tap on.... it would be buried under the blower housing......
