Out of control like unnecessarily replacing a bunch of metal?

I set out to paint my battery one day and by the end of the weekend I had a fully disassembled frame-off restoration project. Like I said....it got out of control in a hurry.

I see! I will try and be careful, actually sounds like something I would do but I think this time I will stay with the battery tray, it is the worst part. Had it for 7 years and just put the lights on and am hoping to get the back seat and springs on it this year. thanks for the info, great website!

Used the starter kit for VBS (similar to por15) and it worked great, just don't leave the extra pain in a plastic cup overnight on the floor mat, it ate through and leaked all over. Thanks for the info!

follow up 3 years later after using KBS to clean and paint battery tray, still looks great, absolutely no signs of corrosion!
