Storing charger in the cart- good or bad idea?

When I got my cart, the charger was stored on the cart under the drivers seat, presumably where an extra battery might go. I am wondering if this is a good idea, since it is then subjected to bumps and vibrations from riding inside the cart.
I would appreciate any comments.

Some chargers are designated On-board chargers and are no doubt built for the purpose, on the other hand External chargers were not designed to be mounted on-board and are best left at home.
