Amps =torque
Volts=speed
Lead=time
The more batteries you have increases the amount of lead you have which increases your run time. . Nothing wrong with 12v GOLF CART batteries just a decreased run time

And the batteries will not last as long. Maybe 3 years as opposed to 5 or 6 out of the 6 volts.
Club Car started putting 12v in their 48v carts, then switched back to 8 volts a year later. That says somethin right there...

You can not compare Ezgo running 12v batteries and Club Car running 12v batteries, because they are two totally different drive systems AC and DC

And there are ezgo owners converting from 12v to 8v also.

A 12v golf cart battery has too small of grid plate holes which sulfate and clog up easily. 8v and 6v use much larger grid diameters and don't suffer from the same basic design problem.

If you're planning on using auto batteries (rated by CCA), it won't matter which ones you choose......they'll be dead in short order, anyway.....

Use deep-cycle golf cart batteries, or you're just wasting your money!
