I can't see why you wouldn't love a 4 wheel disc system. I left the factory drum brakes on my EZ-GO on the rear and put a set of Jakes Hydraulic disc on the front. I live in Southwestern Pennsylvania where hills are hills because MOUNTAINS ARE MOUNTAINS, and when you take a cart out here and drive up a gas well or logging road, you have to also drive back down them.

Prior to installing my Jakes front disc brakes, it was the coming back down part that....many times, left me wondering if I could actually control 1,000-lbs of mud sliding or simply non-stopping on dirt cart. Thrilling to say the least.

Once I had my front disc installed, on the steepest downhills I could now stop in a 20-foot at worse middle of the hill distance.

Buy 'em...you won't regret it.

MHO

I installed disc brakes on my rear wheels over a year ago and have had no problems. My carts top speed is 29 mph and I found the rear discs more than adequate for stopping.

Ausco mechanical discs on the back, like they say about 25% better then drums. Still not enough, installed jakes hydraulic on front and they are great. Go with hydraulics all 4 if you can, you regret it. I am going with hydraulic on back soon. The Auscos squeal bad, even with slides lubes. I may try thw hd pads they have , may be better.
