No Reverse PDS

Hey guys,

I'm working on a friends EZGO PDS cart and the problem is no reverse. The buzzer sounds and rarely but sometimes rev will work fine. Mostly it will only move a foot at a time and then not at all until it sits. After it stops I get 2 codes. 4-3 solenoid drop out and 2-1 low battery voltage.

This cart sat 2 years with dead batteries and now has fully charged new batteries. I did a voltage drop test to the controller and only lost a volt or two on both pos and neg leads.

The cart hauls a$$ in forward and runs great, so the battery voltage is good and solenoid is working fine. Even when monitoring voltage at controller while holding brakes it only drops 2 volts. I reversed the field to make sure the motor wasn't binding in reverse and it works great.

At this point I am thinking I have a bad controller. What do you think????

If this was the Easy Go section I would advise you check for corrosion at the F&R rocker switch connectors - this is likely the problem after sitting for a long time. And of course - he heeds new batteries.

Well guys looks like a mod moved it, Thanks Batteries are new and the rocker switch works fine, Rev buzzer sounds the whole time it is in rev.

Check for shorts in F1 and F2 wires, if they ohm good maybe a bad controller?
