Thanks yes they are and it is a good thing the solenoid is still connected are I would probably get it wrong too, LOL

Yes, resister on the big terminals. Sorry. Good catch yurtle!

Also, the big terminals don't care about polarity. Polarity only matters for the control circuit (small wires).

Even the solenoid small terminals are polarity indifferent. The diode has to match the polarity, but you can swap the coil with no problem.
