I don't know if I should start another thread or not...just let me know if I should. But this cart obviously is old and has all the original parts on it. So where to begin? Any suggestion on the old resistor coil setup. I know it can be converted and probably should be but I think it will get used for a year or so and then the true fate of it will come to light. Either it gets sold or keep it and upgrade it. Let me know your thoughts. I am looking for any suggestions. Thanks

I say keep the stock motor and go 48 volt with all 2 ga. wires and a HD solenoid. Gonna need a controller too. I'd talk with scottyb.

Apologize because I have not done my homework...but that motor will run on a 48V system? I am guessing the motor is rated for a range of voltage. I have not even looked at the motor yet. The cart made it to the garage and that has been it so far. Thanks

How about some pictures of the battery compartment and motor area.

I might have some more info on it, but there were several different types of resistor drive systems used in industrial carts.
