Default RXV Battery or Charger?

I have an 2008 RXV with 3 Trojan Batteries and another brand I cannot recall (purchased a year after the other 4 Trojan was defective). After a year, there were no problems. I have a Powerwise QE charger that all of the sudden started giving me two red flashes, a pause, another two red flashes and a pause and then a click.

I borrowed another fellow RXV owner's Powerwise QE charger and it gave the green light and charged fully to the solid green.

I tested the batteries voltage today and they were 12.77, 12.68, 12.69, 12,68 in order. This was after them being off the charger 24 hours.

Is the lead battery causing problems or have I encountered the crap charger?

Is the 12.77 the other brand? 12.73 is fully charged for a new Trojan. The others are probably around 95% or so, so it sounds like it's your charger. Just to be sure, you can try your charger on your friend's cart.

Yes, the other brand is the higher one. I did not think to try my charger on his. I will do that.

If it is the charger, what do people tend to get? Surely not this same one.

Most people recommend ScottyB for chargers.

It's what I use. Costs a little more, but this is a clear case of "you get what you pay for". It will help you get your money's worth out of those and future batteries, so it will pay for itself.
