New to this forum first post. Im also new to golf carts. This has probably been asked before. I have a 92 e-z-go new batteries have been changed about 10 times now. It will run good on level ground but when going up hill it will go very slow. IS THIS NORMAL?????

Re: 92 e-z-go marathon
Welcome to BGW!
All carts slow down going up hills and some slow more than others, but you most likely have some problems delivering the Amps to the motor that it needs to propel the cart uphill at its normal uphill speed. After climbing some steep hills, check the temperature of all the high current cables and connections. If any are more than warm to the touch, they are stealing power from the motor. Unless they have been replaced, your 92 Marathon has 6Ga high current cables and they ought to be at least 4Ga. All the connections ought to be corrosion free. The F/R switch is also a bottle neck and ought to be fixed or replaced if it is getting hot. |
