Re: 36v txt - new to golf cart building
That is what I have and recommended. Add the HD F&R for $718. I'd seriously consider a digital volt meter now, or when you can afford it, if $718 hasn't busted the bank yet.

Absolutely true!!
It absolutely can be addictive! I'm in the process of building a hunting buggy as well. I'll look forward to seeing your build! |

Did you replace all the cables or just the battery cables? A series cart needs to have all 13 cables upgraded. Yes, the reversing contactor would be the best way to go. |

Re: 36v txt - new to golf cart building
This brings me to a question not de-rail your thread, but I have been contemplating putting a fire extinguisher on my cart for many reasons including the OP's fnr fire.
The bug will bite you real good. Your going down the exact same path I did. Mines a 36v, series, lifted, back seat, 2 ga wires, 22" tires, ScottyB's hunting buggy package and I love it. It's no speed demon, but it gets around really well and for what ever reason the batteries last for a really long time (using on a hilly property). Enjoy your build. |

I am sure ScottyB will get you straightened out. He is always here helping people, I can tell he genuinely enjoys helping people upgrade their rigs.
Keep us posted on your build and let us know how it improves the cart. |
