Default 2004 TXT Warm Wires

Hello all I am new to golf carts and to this forum. I recently purchased a 2004 EZGO TXT 36volt. All batteries were replaced as were the battery cables. I have never touched them but yesterday I stopped to look at something while riding and noticed the battery cables were warm and the longer wire was warmer than the others. I have not had any issues and when I parked it and checked it 3-5 mins later they were no longer warm. Like I said new wires and they are all tight.

Thank you,
Carnell

What gauge wires, and what type? (Hope it's not these auto parts store junkers)

Also, not the "9 strand" stuff from home Depot for house wiring, right?

Figured out it was only the longer battery wire getting hot. It is 4 gauge can I replace just that one with a 2 gauge?

Make sure the nuts are secure to the batteries. If they are not on tight it can cause issues. I melted a battery post because of it.
