Ok. Here is an update. Just got a response from the tech saying to use Alg#38 for my Trojan T-1275's. BUT.....their website clearly says to use Alg#1 for Trojan T-1275's. So I am confused which is better. I just sent back this reply for clarification:

Thanks for the answer. I'm sorry to ask so many questions- and yes, Alg#38 is what was and is still currently installed but the problem I am experiencing is that the charger always turns itself off at night when the batteries are only 80% charged. I don't know why the QuiQ isn't fully charging my brand new batteries. Is there something potentially wrong with it? Even the old US Batteries were doing the very same thing for several months before I just replaced them with the new Trojans which are behaving exactly the same... I'm just curious why the Delta-Q website says to use Alg#1 for my Trojan T-1275's, but you have said I should use Alg#38??? I am guessing that either could work, but I'd really love to understand if one of those algorithms (#1 or #38 ) would be better than the other to help solve this partial charging issue? Thank you for your patience with my lack of understanding and I greatly appreciate your help!
I'll post his reply when I get it.

They probably prefer you to use #38 because it has temperature compensation, and I don't think #1 does.

What happens if you plug charger in say hour after it shuts off. Will it fully charge batteries then?
Trying to understand if battery charger is shutting off because it see’s batteries have reached full voltage or charger sense’s hi temp thus terminating charge.😊

I just bought the Yamaha branded version of the delta q charger thinking they were all the same. Is this not a quiq charger and therefore cannot be programmed? That would be a real bummer as I was hoping to change to the lithium profile at some point.

Jake you may want to search the lithium forums here.
Lead acid chargers are usually not compatible with lithium batteries
