Default DCS random jerking and not moving

This is a 2000 DCS. Problem is intermittent. Sometimes it will run just fine. Other times you step on the pedal and nothing, and then sometimes you can hear the solenoid engage and the cart jerks forward. I have also had it jerk while running as though the power to the motor was cutting on and off. I have checked all wiring connection including molex and they seem good. I have used dielectric grease on all the spade connections. Have replaced the solenoid. Reed switch has been bypassed. It is still having these symptoms. Any suggestion on where to look for the issue?

There is a Molex with 4 wires between your controller and the pedal box. Two wires are for the pedal switch and the other two (black and white) are for the ITS. Make sure it is connected properly. This Molex plug SUCKS and based on age could be the cause of your issue. I had issues with mine.

I clipped off the Molex and direct wired it. Had similar issues you are describing. If the Molex moved my cart would do that. I have an old DCS harness on my cart. This winter its getting tossed!

I checked the molex and it is clean. I also put a bit of dieletric grease on all the pins. That did not help.

Could a bad controller be causing these issues?

Take the cover off and check the controller. If it looks like this then it is a bad controller for sure.

1206SX controllers are not that great. So it could be the controller.
