Default I've got one battery under the charge port?!?

So my 92 Marathon needs new batteries and there is one that is directly under the charge port. The charge port is actually resting on the battery. Wouldn't you know it but the lifting loop on that battery, and that battery only, is broken so i can't use my nifty difty homemade battery lifter. Can't pivot it either because the back battery won't let it. Do I need to drill out the rivets that hold the charge plug to the battery box?

Any help would be appreciated.

Several Marathon cart owners will probably be around shortly, so wait for them.

I didn't have a battery under my TXT, but it was pretty tight, so I drilled mine out, and used brass 1/4 x 20 x 3/4" I think, but threaded them into the plastic body, so no nuts. Holds well and looks good. If your battery is always gonna be under yours, removable might not be a bad idea.

I think I'm going to have to take out those solenoid thingies in the middle so I can tilt the back battery at an angle to remove it and then slide the front one back. I don't see any other way. If I have to do that, the charge port is getting re-located for sure!

I've never seen a Marathon in person. Do you really need to relocate the charge port, or is your battery in a place it isn't supposed to be? Seems like EZGO would make it easy +/- to water and change batteries?

It seems like the battery holders are correct. I'm wondering if someone modified it or something. The bottom of the charge port is actually touching the top of the Trojan 105 battery. I hate to take out that center controller thingie but it looks like I have to.

This site wants the pics hosted somewhere else and I've been burned going down that route before and it's a lot of trouble for such a little problem. I'll drill the rivets out. Thanks guys.

No it doesn't. Post here full size by using the paperclip.

Thanks Yurtle. I was assuming I needed to click on the picture icon. I build the internet for a living but have little knowledge on how to use it.
