Default stuck on ezgo lithium conversion

Dropped in a lithium battery and now cart won't run. My multimeter says 39 volts between positive and all four big wires at the motor whether key on or off and throttle on or off. That doesn't make any sense to me.

The cart is an ancient EZGO txt 36 volt.

You should identify the drive system type and the controller used so techs will know what you are asking for help with.

Is that correct? One battery?

Thanks. Not sure exactly which model it is. My best guess is TXT series 1 or 3. I put in one lithium battery pack with 66ah and 36 volts.

Which pack did you get that is 36v?

Do you have the rotary style f/r mechanism?

Nothing changes, as far as making the cart go, with the lithium pack. The pack +, - from the lithium go right to where the ones did from the lead.
