RXV Lowering Front coilover Question
Hey all,
I want to lower the cart. Retail lowering kits available widen track and I don't want that. So, wondering if anybody has figured out a way to disassemble front strut to remove spring? Looks like maybe the top loop/attach point is screwed onto the shock shaft? and that's what captures the spring perch... Send me info if you have figured this out and or cut your springs |

Re: RXV Lowering Front coilover Question
The ride will be horrible, the suspension travel is already pitiful on that strut. But yes, the top part unscrews, and it usually ain't easy either.

Re: RXV Lowering Front coilover Question
If I were doing it I’d cut the front frame and weld it back in higher in the chassis.
I think the reverse of that is how I’ll go about lifting mine. |

Re: RXV Lowering Front coilover Question
Thanks guys for the answers... I'm curious enough to find some used struts and mess around with them.... Anybody have a set of used ones they want to part with?
