36V-12V Reducer install
I tried to install a 36-12 reducer... Looked pretty straight forward... when I connected the + lead to the battery pack, my in-dash digital voltmeter died... any insights?... suggestions? I want to try it again but I don’t want to destroy the new voltmeter.
I searched the site all I could but couldn’t find a clue |

Can you link us to the reducer and meter you are asking about? Otherwise ... we are guessing like you.

Re: 36V-12V Reducer install
The meter is the first one on this page
https://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-meters.html And this was the reducer... says 48V but the specs were exactly the same as the 36V... I have since gotten the one that specifies 36V but the specs are still the same.... don’t seem to me that either should have popped the voltmeter... that’s been a real dependable meter... affordable and pretty accurate https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0728...b_b_asin_image |
