Putting 23" tires on a Danaher controlled RXV will likely end it. There are no options for reprogramming a Danaher. Look into the cost of a 350 Amp Curtis upgrade.

So what are all my options I'm new to all of this golf cart stuff but am fairly mechanically knowledgeable. The cart was free and I'm gotten it running had several broken wires and no batteries. I did convert it to 6 8 volt batteries. Any advice would be helpful I need this thing to be able to go up some hills.

Since you are in $0, your investment in a 350a Curtis upgrade will get you huge gains, huge options for programmability. Do it, and just get a new harness to go with it. The old Danaher harnesses were known for corrosion intrusion issues. (Something ezgo "swears was solved", but I'm not so sure). But a new one will for sure have no corrosion in it.
