EZGO RXV frame - Same as TXT?

Hi all -

I have a 2009 EZGO RXV and would like to stretch it to a limo size cart. I've only found one person who offers an RXV limo stretch kit. There's not much known about this person so I'm hesitant to go with him. However I found one who also does TXT strech kit. My question is are the frames for an RXV and TXT the same? Or is there enough difference to make the stretch kit not fit?

No way, totally different. We have done two of the txt strech kits. It is very tailored to the txt frame (and is quite nice really).

Darn. Well does anyone know of a bolt on stretch kit for an RXV? The only one I've seen is a guy selling them on Facebook.

I didnt know they sold anything but scams on facebook. But then again i dont have a FB.

Maybe a forum member in SE Alabama has heard of them, or a call to the Prattville, AL Chamber of Commerce might shed some light on their business practices.

However, I agree with CG about what is typically sold on FB, and e-bay isn't above suspicion either.

I've just decided to make my own stretch kit that will bolt on for the RXV. After looking at the frame layout it doesn't look too complicated and I have some time. Its just going to be a lot of cutting and running wires. I do have a few questions though.

If I'm going to do a bolt on, would you recommend using steel that will insert into the cuts of the frame or use a larger diameter steel that will slip over the top of the frame?

Before I go and cut the frame, does anyone know the thickness of the steel in the frame? I can measure the height and width of the outside.

Also, what type of product do you recommend I spray or cover the steel in where I drill holes or make cuts?

The txt stretch kit has inserts that go in the frame and long tubes that bolt on the frame to add support.

Gotcha. Does anyone have a picture of the kit? I haven't been able to find one anywhere. Also tried searching for th club car one with no success.
