Default Brake lights EZGO RXV gas

Trying to install brake lights on 2009 EZGO RXV GAS. The light kit I purchased has a plunger assembly that bolts up to the brake pedal however when the park brake is set the plunger is not Pushed in so the brake lights remain on. What is the correct way to wire the brake lights so they do not remain on while the park brake is set? Do I need additional parts to make this work? Would work fine on electric RXV since there isn't a park brake.

I had that same issue. From what I was told and read that most of those kits are supposed to have a timer and it should shut off eventually.

I ended up buying a starter button from your average auto parts store and installed in onto the brake pedal. I used the same two wires in the harness and moved it to that switch so if i want brakes I just make sure i hit the button.

Attached is a pic of my install..

Thanks, I found a place in Florida that makes a timer for the RXV GAS.
