Default Need suggestions on best onboard charger

Hey Guys, I have a 94 EZ GO Marathon and I need some suggestions on a good onboard charger. My cart is currently 36 volt but everything is in place for the switch to 48 volt. Upgraded Controller, Solenoid, F and R Switch, Cables, PQ Motor, and so on. My 36 volt charger is taking a dump so I think it's time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance

These are the best On-board and Portable chargers that I know of.

On-board charger:http://www.quickcharge.com/select-a-...-chargers.html

Portable charger: http://www.cartsunlimited.net/48v_Battery_Charger.html

Are "best" and "on board charger" allowed in the same sentence? Most any charger will have a shortened useful life when mounted on board. The daily vibrations and exposure to heat, dirt & water will shorten their life. So unless you absolutely have to carry the charger with you avoid this type of install. Be happy with a good DPI stand alone stationary type charger.

scottyb.
I bought one of those DPI chargers about a week ago and couldn't be happier, Great product, and I think I will pass on the Onboard Charger.

My experience with my QC onboard has been super. No issues in 3+ years of service. Agree that you can't beat the DPI for a non-onboard but I do love the convenience of the QC onboard.

Everybody has different needs, wants and desires and golf carts are used for different things as well as being used in different places.

In most situations, a standalone charger is the most practical solution to the necessity of keeping the batteries charged and in my opinion, the DPI is the best standalone charger.

In some situations, an onboard charger is the most practical solution to the necessity of keeping the batteries charged and in my opinion, the QC is the best onboard charger.
