Tire pressure question
My new rims and tires came in with 27psi in them. The tire says 750 lbs @ 10 psi max. Feels to soft at 10psi. Was wondering what pressures some others run.

Re: Tire pressure question
Yeah, my feel pretty good at 15 psi. I wonder if my tire gauge just doesn't work that well at lower pressures.

Re: Tire pressure question
20-22 psi in mine. (low profile tires)
If your talking about the tires in your other post----they don't look like low pressure tires. 10psi seems a little low but you can experiment. Try 20 and then go down some if you don't like the ride. |

Re: Tire pressure question
You need to buy a "low pressure" tire gauge. They sell 'em at any auto parts store. I think the maximum pressure they read is around 25-lbs. So, if your pressure is say...4-lbs, this gauge will read it.
BTW, my hunting cart tires call for something like 8-PSI. Last year I hit a rock or a stump and that tossed the tire right off the rim. Now I run a minimum of 15-PSI. I don't care what the recommended PSI is.....I don't like unnecessary "flats" when I'm a mile in the woods. |
