You can test it with a meter. Not necessary to just replace it if it's not the problem.

I too have this problem. Except mine just got washed and a few drops landed on the top 2 terminals of the motor and it started making a solid beep noise. So quickly turned it to tow let it sit over night now when I turn it to run there is no more beep and it still don't run. No click,no backup alarm.also the solenoid got wet just from overspray.it's a white Rodgers 586 solenoid(are these sealed).btw cart is also a g19

Got my cart back running.let everything dry out. I don't know if it was coincidence but the cart didnt run until I disconnected the + from the battery pack. I had the - disconnected while it was drying (should have I disconnected the + for this purpose?) And when I hooked it back up...nothing...so then I said well let me unhook the + for shits and giggles so I did and when I hooked it back up the cart ran fine. Is there a reason for this or was this coincidence? Just trying to under stand the cart better.

Something got wet and caused the controller to not operate. This is a fairly common problem when the electrics get wet. They often start working again when they dry out.

you really need to be putting the Tow/Run switch in Tow when disconnecting/reconnecting batteries.
