36 V : TXT Standard : 1998 New micro switch and not moving
I have a 36v TXT Standard 1998 ezgo cart that I inherited. When the accelerator is pressed i hear the solenoid click but the cart does not move. I brought it to a cart repair place and rhey said it was the micro switch. It worked about and hour then problem came back. You can press the accelerator a bunch of times and every once and a while the cart will move. Same in forward and reverse. The contacts were cleaned on all batteries and are tight.
Any suggestions? Dont know if the people that "repaired it" just took me for a "ride". |

Does the solenoid click and the cart will not go? Try moving the F&R lever some.

I would check the voltage at the big solenoid terminals first. You need to secure cart against sudden unexpected movement when probing around wiring. You should have battery + voltage on both when pedal is pressed and the solenoid clicks. Measure with negative probe on battery pack negative. That measurement and the fact you have a voltmeter to work with will help troubleshoot. Check the simple things first.

It was the solenoid. Replaced it and now we are good to go. Good to go make other repairs like the brakes and a squeaking in the front end. Thanks for the responses here and other threads.
