Default 2001 ezgo pds 36v 6in lift torque and tire clearance issues

Hi, I just purchased a 2001 ezgo 36 volt pds and installed a 6 in Jakes lift and 23 in tires. When I turn sharp or flex at all the front tires rub on the body. What can I do to fix this? HD shocks?

Also I need more torque for going up hills in my yard and pulling a trailer with the cart. Will a 500 amp controller be enough? Or will I have to buy a new motor also?

Welcome to BGW!

Shocks do not support the weight of the cart. That job is for the leaf springs. New HD leaf springs may get you the clearance you need.

Ok, sounds good. The back seems fine so I should just replace the front?

How about my other question, I want to upgrade to a 400 or 500 amp controller. Will the stock motor run okay with it? I've read mixed reviews

Yes, but would a more powerful controller help?
