DPI Jumper Setting for Duracell Ultra
Can someone tell me which mode I should set the DPI Charger to for Duracell Ultra batteries? SLIGC8V
Mode 1 - US Battery Mode 2 - Trojan Mode 3 - Exide Mode 4 - Crown/AGM |

I wouldn't use Mode 2.
Use Mode 1. Duracell doesn't make their own deep cycle batteries. Mode 2 is for Trojan (whom I am a director for) and is configured to deliver 110% (+/-2) charge return. US requires up in the neighborhood of 117% as do most Asian and Mexican battery manufacturers (Duracell's deep cycle is one of these). Charging these consumes more energy out of the wall, but the batteries need it. If you use the Trojan setting, you will be undercharging your batteries right out of the gate which will lead to sulfation, which will lead to reduced runtime and reduced life. |
