G9 Lift Kit advice
Looking for some advice on a lift kit for a 1995 G9E. Not looking for any crazy off road capabilities, but want the cart to sit a little higher so we can install some larger street friendly tires.
Anyone use the Jake's 4" economy block kit? |

Marks141, and G1-G9 built quite a few using the 4" economy lifts they say you can't go wrong with them.. p/m them if you have any questions or check out the G9 club and ask your question there

This lift kit gives u the same ground clearance as the jakes 6in lift

 this is the jakes 7in double A-arm lift, for the price that u pay for the 4in economy lift its a no brainer. Your ground clearance is dependent upon your tires size because of ur rear axel. Bigger the tire the faster u can go but u may loose acceleration. Anything 22in and smaller will work with the 4in lift, after that ur gonna need the taller liftsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

marks141 what's your take on the Jakes 7in Double A-Arm Lift Kit, i'm really interested in a double A arm lift kit, I want something that can handle speeds above 40 mph also be able to withstand some mediocre rough terrain. thanks for your time.

Personally It's not my favorite at all. I'll put some photos up later but when I first put it on I felt like I was missing pieces, the lift just feels incomplete. I have now seen 3 people including myself have the same issue with the little S looking bracket that attaches to the tie rod, it seems to bend way to easy and requires u to double it up in order to not have that problem. Also you have almost no turning radius for some reason. There's just a lot of little things extra u either have to add or worry about it seems like. The long travel seems to be better even though it looks like the same exact set up and it cost a lot more, just some small differences between the two. If your wanting big tires go with the long travel unless u don't mind doing a couple extra things to the 7in jakes, but if your not putting huge tires on the jakes 6in is just fine.
