if you plan on using Rustoliim (which I did) don't use spray cans, AND prime the whole thing too! I did the entire frame....after roughing everything up, I used some rust neutralizer (marine grade) to get at all the hard to get to spots. Then I bought a quart of Rustolium metal primer, and a quart of black. apply it very liberally (thick) and give each coat plenty of time to dry. Its been 3-1/2 years and it still looks good, and I get out off-road a bit as well.
