Default Egad, Darned Spindle Zerk Fitting Fell Out.

A 'pressed in' zerk fitting in the left steering spindle of my EzGo TXT popped out when I attempted to remove my grease gun nozzle after lubing it. Any advice regarding the proper remedy?

Yeah, they (the fittings) should have been tapped in the first place. It would seem near impossible to tap the hole in the spindle without first disassembling the suspension. I hope I'm wrong. Am I?

yes, disassembly will be required to tap the hole.

Can you add a grease fitting on the new style spindles with out hurting anything?? I just don't like for them to wearing out and then having to replace
them. when a little grease might help.

Thanks all
Sonny

The new style spindles are designed to be greaseless and I personally would leave them that way. They have been in carts for about 15 years now and I have yet to see a mass influx of them needing replacement. In fact, I can't think of a single one that I have replaced due to wear and tear. Accidents, yes..... Wear, no.......

The state of world affairs when we have to decide between the 2 choices we have for President?

The fact that Hollywood keep cramming horrible recreations of classic movies down our throats (yeah, I refuse to go see the new Ghostbuster movie)?

Oh I know...... How about how Tesla is coming out with a $35k car called the Tesla III that is supposed to be in mass production as of the end of 2017????

J/K Scotty...... why on earth are you awake and on the forums at 6 in the morning??

I couldn't sleep. I had a nightmare that it was November and I had to choose between a Crook and a Buffoon for a Commander in Chief of our great nation.
